There hasn't been this much spam around since World War II when the whole of Britain ate it for breakfast with their powdered eggs.
But now the cyber-junk scourge of the Internet has been joined by something just a little more savoury – "bacn."
The oddly spelled term has been defined as "any email you receive that isn't spam but isn't exactly a personal message, either."
That could be anything from your electronic bank statement to a newsletter to a website you've signed up on giving you a heads-up for something it thinks you might find interesting.
