Miss Moneypenny: Sexual foil or frustrated femme fatale?

There's a lot to be said about the women James Bond has bedded. Elusive, dangerous, drop-dead gorgeous...the appealing attributes go on and on. But what's to be said about the stalwart Miss Moneypenny -- the one woman who probably loved Bond the most but never got a crack at consummating her big spy crush?

Sadly, on September 29th, Lois Maxwell - the Canadian-born actress who most notably portrayed the quick-witted secretary to Bond's boss M, passed away from cancer. As the Bond franchise's definitive Miss Moneypenny exits into that big spy agency up above, it's time to dish on the dishes who've put upmarket brains at James Bond's fingertips.

Could the British Secret Service have ever functioned without this savvy secretary? Not a chance.
