Good Foods, Good Reads for Family Literacy

Wow! A restaurant where you can go to eat where they have no set prices on the menu. But there is a catch.

For a 17-hour period from 7 a.m.to midnight Saturday, Jan. 26 there will be no set fees for meals on a specially designed menu at Kimmi’s Kitchen at 887 Division St. (at Elliott Avenue).

Staff and volunteers will instead be asking patrons to pay what they want and every penny that people pay during the 17-hour period will be donated toward Kingston Literacy.

Most people who love reading are content to simply do that, read. But Kimmi Carquez, owner of Kimmi’s Kitchen, is going well beyond that.
